Biz-trip to CA for project XFR

Last Sunday I went to California, USA to meet customer for project XFR. We spent three days for clarified current open issues. Some of them are still open without solution or not decided yet. Even chassis material can not be chosen till now. I worry about we can not meet customer's schedule if those important information can not be firmed. :-(

Project status of XFR

Last week became a little bit changed. Customer seems more interested in our proposal. We thought may be the design house proposal is not good enough. It is a good thing for us but in the mean time, we need to do more on our design. We also need to prepare more for the meeting of week 52th.

The bad news is that Bark can not go with us. So we may need to take care of their panel portion during discussion. :-(

昨天去軍艦岩走了一趟, 上回我們從新北投走, 繞了一大圈全家人都快累翻了卻還沒到. 這次從陽明大學上去, 路途明顯直接而短多了, 雖然 Dickson 在最後七十公尺喊說不上去, 但在我們連連哄帶騙兼威脅下還是上去, 並且在上面相當興奮. 只不過我們回來後兩人的小腿都非常痠痛, 尤其我今天早上還去練太極拳, 下午只要稍有行動都讓我的小腿很不舒服, 真的是歲月不饒人, 倒是那不上山的小子今天就完全恢復, 又可以活蹦亂跳了. :-)

XFR schedule

雖然客戶說案子要暫停, 等確認價錢之後再繼續. 但如果下週一就要繼續時, 是否也還要求我們必須在原定的時間量產交貨? 這會是一個大問題, 而在不影響上市時間的前題下, 我想客戶應該不會把案子延遲太久才對.

XFR has been postponed

Today system PM has a phone call from customer. They would postpone XFR project to check quotation. Also, they advised us cut down our quote about USD125. This is really a big gap between customer and us. PM and sales already decided that we can down cost about USD50 for them but not 125.

There is no any further information about the period of this postpone. Is it be cancel? Anyway, there is nothing I can control.

XFR new file will pospone to Friday

老外也一樣無法掌握原訂的時程在今天將圖發出, 並且在稍後的電話會議中表示延後三天至星期五給圖, 當然模型製作也順延三天, 不過他們卻同時要求我們依據舊版的外觀圖開始設計, 還希望我們在下週一就要提出新的分件方案與估價! 他們表示因為新版與舊版只有約百分之一的不同, 真是讓人難以接受的說詞. :|

今天終於有令人不想聽到的消息傳來, 客戶已確認案子由我們來接, 但是量產出貨的時間不變! >_<

原本還抱著一絲希望它會無疾而終, 但最後還是決定要繼續玩下去了, 這麼一來就會很不好搞了, 特別是它的時間愈來愈短, 而目前規格卻還在討論中! :-(

Yesterday I got JC's phone call. He hope I can help INFINITY project to check some QT issues. So, I spent morning time to understand those issues and afternoon at QT to check them. Tomorrow I have to turn back to my project. I need to release drawing modification list to PM.

Bad weather from typhoon

昨晚颱風真是驚人, 強風挾著豐沛的雨量打在房子的牆上與窗戶, 猶如消防隊員以滅火水管對著窗戶直噴, 造成的衝擊聲令人整夜無法安眠. 今天早上還持續著這樣的天氣, 直到中午過後才稍見好轉, 傍晚則雨已漸小, 不過時而傳來強風吹送所引發的聲響. 明天將正常上班, 而我的事則得花時間趕一下了.

Taichi test

My Taichichuen class will finish soon and we will have a test by the end of July. We started for rehearsal on last week. This week, teacher seperated us into tree squad to check our motion is right. I was in 3rd squad and our action is good but I did not good enough, in my opinion, in today 2 times of play. :-(

Typhoon is coming tonight

The strong typhoon HAITANG is coming tonight, that nothern Taiwan area will has one day off for safety. In my plan is to fill a RFQ tomorrow that JC asked me to do, and I'll modify drawing of Titanium on Tuesday. This typhoon disturb my plan! :-(

About "Closer"

Oris sent to workshop again

My ORIS watch still late almost for 1 min. per day. I can not stand on this kind of watch. I sent it to shop tonight and they will send to agent for repairing.

I got pictures yesterday which they were taken by Pentax efina. Those pictures are not clear and very soft. :-(

One reason is this roll is take so long to use; the other one is the camera lens is not good. Anyway, I wouldn't use it.

Cough of Dickson

Dickson has been coughed two days. We don't think it's serious at begin. But it's become frequently yesterday night. So, I took him to clinic and got some draus. Hope he can get well soon.

New tooth

After met dentist today, my new tooth is settled done. But I feel not good enough the new tooth is bigger than original that there are three teeth malocclusion include new one. :-(

My dentist will take a long vacation tonight until June 13. How about my teeth? :-(

My ORIS watch is came back yesterday. I need a couple of days to check it's OK or not. Today noon, 12:25, the watch is late about 40 seconds.

Termite and son

Bought SIGMA 105/F2.8 macro lens

Finally, I bought SIGMA 105mm F2.8 macro lens yesterday. I don't have to buy NIKKOR at all in my two days consideration. SIGMA is cheaper, NT12,300 compare with NT17,800, and lighter, 450g compare with 560g. OK, I have to admit that it may looks cheap and not as beautiful as NIKKOR, but who care? I mean if I can have good shot, which lens won't be a difference.

I plan to take a trip to Japan around the end of May but my route still not fix yet. :-(

New records of Magic Flute

I bought a new record of "Die Zauberflote" last Friday and another Symphony No. 2 of Beethoven, which it include Symphony No. 35 and 40 of Mozart. I listen to the CD of Symphony No. 2 many times but today is the first time to play "Die Zauberflote". This record is very good because the class of singers is best at that time. :-)

World sphere puzzle

Finished puzzle of World Sphere today afternoon at 15:15 under opera of "Die Zauberflote" (Magic Flute). This puzzle is a present from Sandy for my new home. It took me a lot of time to be done because I am not skillful in puzzle work. :-P

VC21 抗耀光能力不佳

福侖達 M39 接環 21mm F4 抗耀光能力不好很多用過的人都知道, 沒用過的人太概也聽人提起過. 我之前有幾次不管太陽多大直接拿起來蠻幹, 但確實就是不行. 而前幾天帶小孩在公園玩, 其中有幾張不是做 "正面衝突" 也依舊發生明顯的耀光. :-(

Taichung trip

Yesterday my family went to Taichung for a short trip by train. We planed to stay there until today evening but Dickson want to come back for playing his toy. So we came back by morning train and arrived Taipei in the afternoon. Just an one whole day trip!

Dickson health status

Dickson is much better than yesterday this morning. We still don't let he go to school today because somehow he still unstable. His teacher can understand about this and thanks me for this action.

Visit NTSEC

I took Dickson to NTSEC, National Taiwan Science Education Center, this afternoon. It's a big building compare with its old building. We arrived there about 15:00 that we don't have much time to go through everything inside the building. I considered to take top level first and going down stairs. We can not finish and lost B1 level which there are more fun things for child like Dickson. :-(

Puzzle of world map sphere status

I connected mainland America and the other lands together yesterday, 2005-04-26. The Antarctic Circle also can connect with whole sphere, but the connection is very weak currently. Whold shpere is complete soon. :-)

Dickson sick today

2005-04-27, Dickson is ill yesterday and without better after medication. He took one day off for convalescing and avoid infectin.

Wanna to buy a micro 105mm f2.8 lens

前幾天在國父紀念館拍兒子, 在某些情況下真的感到沒有長一點的鏡頭不行, 加上老婆大人在旁加油, 所以打算添購一顆 105 micro 的鏡頭, 也同時方便拍小東西.

倒是要選 Ai 或 AF 的鏡頭讓我很難下決心, 因為兩者各有優點. AF 以後出手較容易, 微距有 1:1, 價格也稍低一些; Ai 的較輕一點, 配 FM3A 也較合適, 隨鏡附有遮光罩, 微距僅 1:2, 價格稍高.

今天在網路上又沒找到相關的比較文章, 希望看看有誰兩支都用過可以幫忙出意見.

Failed HP soap again

I did to make hot process soap again the day before yesterday but it seemed fail again. The soap became harder and drier very quick after reheating 40 min. I can not to add superfatting oil and essence into the dried soap! In fact, I did add more water for this time but it's not use at all. :-(

Hot process soap

Yesterday night I started to make new soap. It is for hot process today. The whole process was started yesterday 22:00 and it's traced this morning when I checked it at 7:00. Hot water was prepared around 8:20. The soap was take about one and half hour for hot process. The soap can be used in the afternoon when soap become cool.

The soap looks very ugly which compare with over traced soap I made before. I thought the water should add more for hot process. This need to try to get the correct water volume. :-(

Hand made soap feeling

I started to use my soap a few days ago. The soap is not much bubble at all but the bubble is very meticulous. One thing I feel uncomfortable is that soap on hand with water is greasy. May be I need more time to feel its good by myself.

傅抱石畫展

從上個月就打算要去看傅抱石畫展, 當時想還有一個多月也不急在一時, 就這樣拖到昨天已經是展期最後一天, 又因昨天上山去掃墓而無法成行, 最後我還是沒去看畫展. :-(

Small DC lens & SLR lens

話說一般小型的數位相機在功能上都不能和單眼數位相機媲美, 但大家可能和我一樣不太理解其真正原因, 就在前兩天我上山遊玩順道去拍拍照, 而從中有了一些體驗.

在遊玩的第二天早上正把握最後的時間, 將前一日未能拍到的花兒搶拍一些, 基本上在攝影時仍以手上的傳統相機為主, 因為鏡頭的光圈可以大到 f1.2 (NIKKOR MF 50/1.2), 這在某些構圖與散景的運用上會方便些. 由於我的鏡頭最長僅有標準的 50mm, 所以對於稍遠的花朵就無能為力, 而身邊的 CANON A80 有三倍光學變焦, 要拍不是太遠的物體也還能將就著用. 但那天眼看著一簇鮮豔的櫻花在枝頭上, 因為鏡頭不夠長而只好運起 A80 抓景, 然而它在放大三倍時的光圈最大只有 f4.9, 這使我無法將花朵背景的其他樹枝等處理得很好, 還好後的松檜等與梅樹還有一段距離, 最後的結果看來也還差強人意就是了. :-)

從我前兩天的經驗來看, 小型數位相機在其他方面不談, 單就光圈一節已與單眼相機的鏡頭有不小的差距. 事實上在那小巧的機身與鏡頭內要將大光圈的特質放進去也的確有困難, 無怪乎在數位單眼售價向下探的同時, 不少攝影同好皆手持數位單眼取景. 這回出門就發現 D70 和 300D 隨處可見, 這也算是經濟奇蹟? :-D

My lavender rosemary soap had been taken out from mold but the shape is very ugly. They are not took out in time and soap stuck inside the mold. There are four more piecese in another mold. I will wait for one month to let soap become hard then take out.

Which brand of ink for this

I took my son to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to see lanterns. That was a raining day so we spent no much time. When we were about to leave we saw a board for lantern just messy as picture shown. :-) Picture data.

Faucitis of Dickson

Dickson cannot go to school today because he got faucitis this morning. His cold didn't get well and has another problem. @_@ Fortunately, doctor said this is not big deal and should be OK soon. :-)

Lavender Rosemary Soap

之前做的馬賽皂因為 trace 的時間過頭了, 所以改用手揉出來, 在視覺上實在不太好看. 昨天再試一下馬賽皂的配方, 並將清水換用薰衣草與迷迭香泡出的茶汁來取代. 下午四才開始攪拌, 沒想到在晚上十二點多就可以 trace 了, 可能是因為這次的份量只有六成, 所以反應時間才會縮短.

Marseille soap status update

Marseille soap had been done without mold, because they are over traced time. :-( I used my hand, of course with gloves, to knead soap dough into shape. They are looked good enough for me. :-)

Change background image location

A few days ago, I found the background image of my blog page was disappear. I tried to reload the page to see background image without success. Finally, I realized that problem was caused by ISP side. They changed my web link server name that my page can not link to correct location. Today, I put a copy to another server and changed image location in my template to new place. Hope new place do not change their URL again. :-)

Marseille soap status

My Marseille soap had been traced by 16th night but I didn't put it into mold. That soap had over traced in the morning of 17th. :-(

New soap today

I started to make new soap, Marseille soap, at 10 oclock this morning. The container seems small that I can not sturb oil very easy. :-(

Return to hospital

I have an appointment with doctor today, besides I need medicine for next month and draw some blood for test. I also took supersonic diagnostic to check my liver this morning. All processes spent about three hours to finish. :-P

Cleaning rooms

Chinese new year is very close. My wife was clean our home today. She asked me to took my son out that she can clean rooms more quick. I and my son went to Sunyatsen Memorial Hall and Kingstone Bookstore. We ate lunch out side too. When we went back to home, the floor is already cleaned. :-D

Rode bike

The wether tooday is very good. I thought I should take a walk. Consider my bicycle has not been used for a long time that I took my bike out and rode it this morning. I rode it to rear area of Taipei rail station and bought 10 comics back. :-)

Lungshan Temple with son

今天一早就帶著兒子去龍山寺, 很不巧的是今天艋舺公園的噴水池自今天至三日止做維修保養, 而寺廟他又沒興趣逛, 所以他只能在公園吃吃 "乖乖" 罷了. 下午天氣看來沒有下雨的跡象, 所以我們又一起上象山一次. 一路原本都很快樂, 後來在路上因為買了紅豆餅給他吃, 而他才吃一半就弄掉了, 最後搞到我們兩人都很不愉快. :-(

Miramar Entertainment Park

今天帶兒子到美麗華去坐摩天輪, 原以為他會怕高而不敢上去, 沒想到他一點也不怕, 反而我在上面還還會有些擔心呢! 不過之前捷運故障事件在他心中還有陰影, 他擔心該下的時候我們沒下. :-)

I went to Taipei Fine Arts Museum yesterday. Even there is not much exhibition currently. I still had good time in there.

Soap status of 2005-01-29

I read book again yesterday that my process had some mistake. I should take soap out from mold and wait for 1 or 2 days before cutting it. That's why I can not cut the soap very easy and pretty.

Olive oil soap status

My second tried of soap making looks much better than first tried. I took soap out from mold and cut to 4 pieces. The soap still about 2 month before they can be used. :-)

Fix screen door 3

Even I am not satisfied with worker but he did his job and fixed my screen door. Below two pictures for comparing both original screen door and fixed.

The worker is not very professional. Both of his working model and method are look ugly. The screen door already make and size is not fit well. He is rework on it right now. :-(

There is a huge gap on top and bottom of screen door of rear balcony. Yesterday I asked vendor to make a new one today morning. He is working on it right now. I hope new one can match with the doorframe better.

今天下午到龍山寺走一趟, 因為看報上說原來的市場改為 "艋舺公園", 看了後發現公園的噴水池的水舞節目還可以, 公園則並無特殊之處. 今天也順道在龍山寺拍了幾張照片, 等洗好再貼上來.

Elephant Mount again - 2

Last night had a shower that I thought we can not go out today. We're so lucky that we got a good weather this morning. My family went to Elephant Mountain again. :-)

I planned to go Elephant Mountain yesterday and the weather is very nice, but we had an appointment with Sharon family and Mike. Even yesterday is excellent for hiking but we still can not go. :-P

Second tried for soap

I started to make olive soap yesterday. This is my second tried for hand-made soap. I used all olive oil for soap base but I still reduce to half of volume for this tried. Per last experience, I stirred soap liquid very hard. Also, I put it in warm water to keep chemical reaction faster. The soap became traced within just one day, the soap started about 10:00 and traced around 18:00. :-)

Butterfly Effect

今早看了 "蝴蝶效應" 這部片子, 但片中的內容與主題其實和之前 "回到未來" 所談的大同小異, 只是回到過去的方法不同, 而片名所強調的觀念不一樣罷了. 片中許多段落都和灰暗 (指內容而言), 不過結局到與前面的灰色相反, 主角最後還是解決了先前的矛盾而有個好的結果.

M-Bayonet for 28/90 lens

Philip bought a Bayonet for me from Japan. I thought he might not be able to shop or can not find it. I went to office this morning and got the M-Bayonet. :-D

Saturday afternoon I got a phone called from J. L. She told me she will call me some other day in her Christmas card. I don't think she will call me but she did and it's very nice to hear friend's voice especially called from a far-way country. :-D

Went out for a bite of Doritos

昨天兒子中午比較早睡, 所以下午也比較早起床, 因為很難得, 我本想帶他出去走走, 不料他竟不領情想待在家裡. 到了下午四點左右我們沒辦法時, 剛好我拿了一包玉米片要吃, 他也搶著要吃. 我們告訴他那要帶出去吃的, 而他因為想吃只好跟我們一起出門. 結果一家三口跑到外頭吹著寒風, 只為了兒子要吃三片玉米片! :-P

Soap status of 2005-01-14

I tried to took the soap out from mold but it seems very sticky. I tried first time in the morning and without success. In the afternoon, I had second tried and took 3 pieces out, which I cut soap to 4 pieces, but there is still one piece in box. :-P

Elephant Mount

Yesterday morning, I went to Elephant Mount along. Today morning, I took my son with me to go there again. The weather is become better today but cold. The view at top of mount is better than yesterday that I took some shots more. :-)

Resident Evil 2

今天看了 "惡靈古堡 2" 的 DVD, 比起第一集確實更恐怖, 而動作與場面也更大. 結尾也依舊留下拍第三集的伏筆, 不知第三集的主角是否還是原班人馬?

Visited Yuyu Yang Museum

近一兩週都是陰雨的氣候, 實在沒什麼地方可以跑, 昨天問老婆雨天的去處, 他建議去博物館或美術館走走.

今天下午利用時間去了一趟楊英風美術館, 上次發現它時因為小孩在身邊不便進去. 楊英風教授是我自小學就很欣賞的一位藝術家, 記得第一次看到他的作品是一幅節慶時舞龍的版畫, 該畫印在一本談美術的書封底. 當時雖然年紀很小, 但對這作品的風格與筆法就有很深的印象, 不過今天在美術館中並未看到當年第一次見到的那幅版畫, 改天看看在楊老師的作品全集中是否收錄.

My second portable MP3 player

December is InforMonth Exhibition at Taiwan every year. As usual past years, I renew my PCmagzine membership for next year. They gave a binoculars for one year renew and a portable MP3 player for two years. After a long waiting and my reconfirmed, I got a MP3 player today because they ran out of binoculars. So, I got a MP3 player for replacement. :-)

Puzzle of world map sphere

I started my puzzle of world map sphere last night. The puzzle is a gift from Sandy for me to move to new apartment. I already done the part of Asia, Africa and Europe. Both South and North America also done but I did not finish oceans yet. So I can not combine America to other mainlands. :-P

I checked soap this afternoon again. I hope it can take out from mold but it's not. It's still unsolidified yet, that means I may need to wait some days later.

This afternoon I checked soap again. Luckly, the soap was becoming harder and no floating oil anymore. Current situation should be good for soap in the future, I thought. :-)

Soap progress

I thought my soap have been traced. Yesterday I looked it again and found there a lot of oil floated on it. After checked book, that my soap may fail this time. Today I took it out and to stir about 30 min. again. It looked can be recover. I stored it and waiting to check it some day later.

Castle Angers, front gate side

This Castle Angers, pronounce like /on-je/, is taken trip on Nov. 2004 for a review meeting. That project we lost finally in the end of Dec. 2004. In fact, I don't want to win it either our PM. :-P
